SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION INFORMATION

 

The Chisago Lakes School District #2144 school board member election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in conjunction with the statewide general election.  The School Board election is for the purpose of electing three school board members to a term of four years each.  Candidate filing is now over.  It began Tuesday, August 3, 2010 and ran until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010.    

 

The three current board members whose terms expire January 3, 2011 are:  

                              Mark Leigh            Lynn Johnson            Wade Carlson

 

Candidates Who Filed:  The following persons filed an Affidavit for Candidacy for School Board Member and will be on the November School Board Election Ballot:    

Mark Leigh                Thomas Lawlor

 

ELIGIBILITY:  To be eligible to be a school board member you must…

*      Be at least  21 years old;

*      Be an Eligible voter;

*      Be a District resident for a least 30 days prior to election/appointment; and

*      Not convicted of a felony.

 

TERM:  Elected board members will begin their four year term on January 3, 2011 and go until January 5, 2015.
