technical, 2 year or 4 year institution. Parents and students may

B. Davis Scholarship

For high school juniors and seniors. Applicants will be eligible for a $1,000
scholarship. Applicants must submit an essay

Program

student must be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute

AES Engineers Scholarship

Our belief
is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria
for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason, we are offering a scholarship
that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the
essays that are submitted. Scholarships
are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study.
This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a
post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking
Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to
Apply: Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to
the following question:
What are your dreams
for your future? When you look back on your life in thirty years, what would it
take for you to consider your life successful? Submit essay to: scholarships@aesengineers.co. There is no application packet for this
award. Be sure to include your full name as well as the name of the school you

National Merit
Scholarship Program
Deadline: Continuous
For juniors and seniors. An academic competition for recognition
and for scholarships. Requirements include
taking the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), submitting test
scores and transcripts.
Alert
Scholarship
Deadline: Ongoing
For current high school seniors who have a GPA
of 2.5 or better and plan to attend college after graduation. Applicants must write an essay about a
personal encounter they or someone they know has had with drug and or
alcohol abuse. Students must explain
how the situation was dealt with, what they learned from it, what others can
learn from the experience and what was right or wrong (in their opinion) about
the way the incident or problem was handled.
Two $500 scholarships will be awarded and the essay published in Alert magazine.
