The Mission of the Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.

The Media Center provides:

• Access to information.
• Learning experiences that encourage users to become discriminating consumers and creators of information.
• Leadership, instruction, and consulting assistance in the use of instruction and information technology.
• Resources and activities that contribute to life-long learning.
• A facility that functions as the information center of the school.
• Resources and learning activities.

The Media Center is an extension of the classroom. Its resources are available to meet the needs of the classroom curriculum. The media program provides access to the resources, materials and tools that best fit the students' needs and learning styles. The media specialist works cooperatively with the classroom teacher as a guide, manager, facilitator, coach, model for students' learning. The media specialist develops partnerships with classroom teachers in designing teaching/learning situations.
